About Lilian Contin

Lilian Contin, LPC, is a dedicated and compassionate counselor who specializes in supporting individuals and couples through life’s most challenging transitions. She practices with a multicultural approach, utilizing Humanistic, Emotionally Focused and Cognitive Behavioral therapies, along with Mindfulness.

Lilian provides personalized and culturally sensitive care to clients from diverse backgrounds, and offers therapy in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Lilian works extensively with students, both national and international, who may be struggling with the pressures of academic life, cultural adaptation, or identity challenges. She also provides compassionate support to women facing reproductive challenges, such as infertility or pregnancy loss, offering a safe space to process these deeply personal experiences. If you are dealing with grief, whether from the loss of a loved one or other significant life changes, Lilian is here to help you find healing. She assists those grappling with anxiety, depression, insomnia, body image, gender identity, and the stress that comes with major life events like career changes, relationship shifts, or aging. Her therapy is particularly attuned to the complexities faced by Latinos, including cultural differences, language barriers, and the deep sense of missing family and home. Lilian offers specialized support for couples, helping them enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationships.

Lilian Contin, LPC, has a unique academic background. She earned her PhD in Science from the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil, where she focused on the intricate workings of the human brain. Her passion for understanding human behavior led her to pursue further studies in psychology, culminating in a degree in Clinical Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. This interdisciplinary education gives Lilian a comprehensive perspective on the relationship between brain function and psychological well-being.
