Keara has experience in the following areas:
Keara Kaminski believes that therapy is something everyone can benefit from at some point in their lives and prioritizes supporting her clients in feeling comfortable in the therapeutic process first and foremost. She works to create a space for clients where they feel heard, seen, validated, and safe. Keara recognizes that beginning a therapy journey can stir up a variety of emotions which may cause clients to feel excited, scared, apprehensive, or maybe even overwhelmed. She is passionate about meeting clients where they are at and supporting their individualized needs throughout the process of therapy. Keara believes that individuals already possess strength and courage within themselves and that it is her role as a clinician to support her clients in discovering those personal strengths.
Keara primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and humanistic therapy approaches, to collaboratively work alongside clients to help them move towards their goals.
Keara graduated from Lewis University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology before continuing on to graduate from Lewis University with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling on the Child and Adolescent track. Keara has experience in diagnosing, treatment planning, and providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults through both in-person and telehealth modalities.
In her free time, Keara enjoys spending time with her family, snuggling with her pets, and exploring new coffee shops in her area.
