About Evon Charles

Evon is a compassionate therapist with extensive experience working with children, teens, adults, couples, parents, and families. Her diverse background includes family preservation services, early childhood education, and nonprofit community outreach. Across all these settings, Evon’s mission remains the same: to help individuals and families build resilience, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.

Taking a humanistic and client-centered approach, Evon meets individuals where they are, walking alongside them as they work toward healing, growth, and personal fulfillment. She values the family structure and believes that healthy, meaningful relationships begin within the individual, extending outward to friends, family, and the broader community.

Evon integrates evidence-based counseling techniques, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Play Therapy, tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique needs.

Clients describe Evon as empathetic, relatable, and genuine. She strives to create a safe, supportive environment where individuals feel empowered, seen, and heard.

Evon earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Western Illinois University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, specializing in mental health.
