Stephanie Stavropoulos, LCSW

Stephanie Stavropoulos has promoted mental health in the lives of children, teens, adults, and families for over 25 years.  Stephanie earned her Masters Degree at Loyola University of Chicago, has become a Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional, and has a Type 73 Professional Educator License.   She hopes to offer clients the flexibility of receiving the care they need in their homes, through teletherapy.

Stephanie believes that entering into therapy is an empowered step, signaling positive changes to come.  It is her honor to walk alongside clients in this process as an advocate, supporter, and guide. She wishes to help individuals reflect on their life experiences and their emotional impact, consider new ways of coping with stress and conflict, face time-limited problems or transitions, manage the symptoms of a chronic diagnosis, and move toward meeting therapeutic and life goals.  Her overarching desire is that each session brings relief, hope, and growth.

Professional experiences include working in residential treatment settings, providing individual, group, and family therapy, supervising a team of clinicians in an outpatient clinic, and acting as an administrator in a behavioral health hospital.  She currently works in a public high school, in the role of Student Support Specialist.  Through this work, she has developed an appreciation for the difficulties facing adolescents and parents of adolescents.

Stephanie also has a particular interest in supporting clients with:
