Nubia Guzman, LCPC
Nubia Guzman is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with several years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families with a variety of complexities. In the therapeutic setting, she seeks to provide support and guidance to each client so that they can meet their own individual goals and successes at their own pace. Nubia recognizes that progress is not linear and therefore empowers clients to take charge of their own treatment with guidance to ensure that the client’s goals are measurable and obtainable.
She often turns to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Play Therapy techniques to tailor treatment to meet client needs. Psychoeducation is also incorporated into treatment to provide further clarity and understanding as to not only why certain behaviors occur, but also how to better achieve symptom management.
Nubia understands the impact that early intervention has regardless of age. She creates a safe space for clients to be able to explore and process barriers that previously felt daunting. Nubia understands that client needs can change and therefore constantly checks in on client goals and progress to ensure clients are supported throughout the therapeutic process.
