Laura Ahrens Farrar, MSEd, LCPC
Laura’s clients have often described her as being very real, empathic and approachable. Laura builds upon over a decade of experience, offering an understanding and direct, yet sensitive, approach to the therapy process.
Laura’s approach is to collaborate with her clients so that they can discover answers within themselves. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques, which are customized to each client’s needs. Laura believes in providing support and building a trusting therapeutic relationship when working with her clients.
She enjoys helping individuals who struggle with anxiety and mood disorders, having a wealth of experience in both men’s and women’s issues. She also has an extensive background in working with adolescents, anxiety, body image, depression and self-injury.
Laura received her Master of Science Degree from Northern Illinois University and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Laura’s clinical experience includes work in the community and residential settings. She is also certified in Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT).
