Karen Rosian, PsyD

Dr. Karen Rosian is a skilled clinician with experience working in a variety of settings over the course of her career. She has had the opportunity to work in private practice, psychosocial rehabilitation centers, and intensive outpatient settings. In the Intensive Outpatient Programs and Psychosocial Rehabilitation centers, Dr. Rosian has successfully worked with adults with varying levels of chronic mental illness, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities including those on the Autism Spectrum.
Dr. Karen is typically described as “direct, but with a side of humor.” When working with clients, she notes “I strive to be as transparent as possible and work to create a genuine working relationship.”
She has found a passion in working with high-energy children, adolescents and adults in an outpatient setting providing individual and family counseling. She helps folks to address the varying needs of the human condition, including life transitions and stressors, behavioral issues related to attentional difficulties, mood and anxiety disorders, relationship issues, grief and loss, issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity, and recognizes that “sometimes life can just be hard.”
Dr. Karen practices from a values-oriented approach and helps individuals work towards mindfully creating and living meaningful lives through specific behavior changes and addressing underlying ineffective thought and/or behavior patterns. In other words, she aims to help you “live the life you want to live by finding and doing what works for YOU.”
Dr. Karen Rosian received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, as well as her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University-Chicago. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois.
