Amy Buwick, LCPC

 

Amy Buwick, LCPCAmy Buwick is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Addiction Counselor. She has extensive experience working with college aged individuals as they manage the transition to university and develop a sense of their own identity.  After seeing first-hand how college students were frequently over diagnosed with chemical dependency, she helped to create a state licensed Alcohol and Other Drug Resource Center on a college campus that specializes in the unique patterns of substance use among college students.

Amy’s areas of specialty include identity development, families in chaos, codependency, grief, anxiety, depression, substance use and eating disorders.  Amy prioritizes safety for her clients by creating an environment where people can be free to express their authentic self.  Amy is also committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in her actions and through her personal and professional development.

Amy enjoys working with individuals with all types of concerns, using a variety of therapeutic approaches including CBT, Family Systems, and Motivational Interviewing. She believes in the mind body connection and takes a holistic approach to wellness.
