Are you an Introvert or Extrovert?

Why do we need to understand introversion and extroversion?  Why is it important to our daily lives?  Understanding this aspect of our personality helps us to organize and structure our lives.  Furthermore, we can maximize or compliment what works and minimize what does not. In doing so, we avoid stumbling blocks.

Introverts are drawn to their inner world of thought and feeling.  Extroverts are conversely, drawn to the outer life of people and activities.

Introversion and Extroversion is also about energy.  Making life choices that compliment your temperament restores energy.  Battling your own nature depletes your energy.  How do Introverts and Extroverts refuel their energy?  Introverts recharge by spending time alone.  Solitude is restorative and nourishing for their minds.  Extroverts recharge by spending time with others, and socializing.

Misconceptions of Extrovert Vs. Introvert:

There are many charts that compare extroverts and introverts, but they are mostly compiled by introverts.  Just like introverts know that not every introvert is shy, the same applies for extroverts; not every extrovert is obnoxious.  The following chart was compiled by both extroverts and introverts.

Which do you identify with: Introvert or Extrovert?  And remember, there is no wrong answer!
