Meet Brittany Adcox!
Masters Level Intern with the Graduate Intern Clinic
Brittany is a second year student in the Benedictine University’s Clinical Psychology program, and excited to be doing her Master’s level internship at Fox Valley Institute’s Graduate Intern Clinic. During her time at FVI, Brittany will be supervised by two licensed, clinical professional therapists. She will be offering her clients counseling at a reduced fee, which may be ideal for those who are either uninsured or have high deductibles and/or copays. In addition to counseling, Brittany will be spending her time volunteering for the homeless ministry at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church in Downers Grove, IL.
Brittany brings educational, clinical and volunteer experience which will enable her to work well with children, teens, adults and couples. Her area of focus includes working with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression and relationship struggles.
Brittany is also an avid sports enthusiast. Currently a softball coach, she has been involved in sports for the last sixteen years. Because of this, Brittany has a passion to work with teen athletes who may be struggling with performance pressure and time management. She also has a heart to work with students who are struggling to make the transition from high school to college.
